Introduction of Overflow or Grate Ball Grinding Mill
Ball Mill is extensively applied to the industries of ferrous metallurgy, non-ferrous metal mine, building materials and water conservancy project. Overflow ball grinding mills are suitable for the second stage of two-stage ore grinding and regrinding of intermediate product; grate ball mills are usually adopted for the first stage of ore grinding.
Rod mills are qualified for certain selective triturating, which always operate under the condition of well-distributed granularity and less over crushed ore grains, for an instance, manual sand making system of the water conservancy engineering and the coal-water-slurry equipment of the chemical industry.
Structural Features of Overflow or Grate Ball Grinding Mill
The ball mill consists of feeding mouth, material discharging mouth, rotary part, transmission part (reducer, small transmission gears, engine, and electric control) and other major parts. The hollow shaft is made of cast steels, with changeable internal lining board.The big rotary gear is fabricated with the casting gear hobbing, with the resisting lining board in the cylinder, which is highly abrasion-resistant. This machine operates smoothly and reliably .
Working Principle of Overflow or Grate Ball Grinding Mill
Ball mill is horizontal cylindrical rotation device, driven by brim gearwheel. There are two chambers and grid. Material goes into the first chamber through the feeding inlet. Inside the first chamber, there are stage liners and ripple liners as well as steel balls. The shell rotates so as to generate electricity, and this force brings ball to a certain height and then balls drop down by gravity, the impact is the grinding force to the material. After the primary grinding, materials go into the second chamber through segregate screen. In the second chamber, there are flat liners and steel ball. After the secondary grinding, material is discharged from the discharging mouth. Then the whole grinding process is ended.
